Routes and fares checked on 2026-09-28 (sources: the Nankai Electric Railway site, the Kansai Airports site, the Osaka Metro official fare table)
For the four houses in Nishinari Ward, Nankai Electric Railway is the fastest way in from Kansai International Airport. The Rapi:t limited express reaches Tengachaya in about 34 minutes and Namba in about 38 minutes; the airport express takes about 39 minutes and about 44 minutes. Neither needs a transfer on the way. For La Forêt Yamanakadani, take the JR Hanwa Line, change at Hineno for Izumi-Tottori, and walk 7 minutes from the station to the house. This page puts both routes in one table: the station to get off at, the official journey time, the ticket you need and the houses each route serves. After the table come late-night check-in and the hour from which you can leave luggage.
Work out which house you are booked into first, then decide where to get off. Mientsuki no Mori and Yamayakyo are both within walking distance of Tengachaya Station, and both Nankai airport trains stop there. The nearest station for La Forêt Hanazonocho and Laforet Namba South is Hanazonocho Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, and the simplest way there is to ride Nankai to Namba and change. La Forêt Yamanakadani is in Hannan City, Osaka Prefecture, off the Nankai network, so you take JR. All five houses check in after 16:00 and check out before 11:00, all five are self check-in, and we send the door lock code in advance. Every journey time and fare on this page is sourced. We do not reprint Nankai base fares or JR station fares, so use the fare search on the official sites. Fares are as of the date checked above, and any later revision follows the railway sites.
The Nankai platforms at Kansai Airport Station are directly opposite the arrivals hall. Rapi:t is all reserved seating, so you buy the limited express ticket before boarding and you have a seat even with a lot of luggage. For the airport express you just tap an IC card, and seats go to whoever boards first. Both trains stop at Tengachaya Station, so guests at Mientsuki no Mori and Yamayakyo should get off there.
If you cannot decide where to get off, use this rule: with a lot of luggage, get off at Tengachaya. Tengachaya is one station shared by Nankai Electric Railway and the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, and Namba is two stops north. Namba Station is a large interchange for several railways and subway lines, and the walk inside it is long. Mientsuki no Mori is 7 minutes from the Tengachaya exit and Yamayakyo is 9 minutes, both in the residential back streets east of the station. The Hankai Tramway stop at Matsudacho is also close: 1 minute from the front door of Mientsuki no Mori and 2 minutes from Yamayakyo. The Sakaisuji Line runs through onto Hankyu Railway trains, so a later trip to Kyoto leaves from the same platform.
Here are the nearest stations for the four Nishinari houses in one place. Mientsuki no Mori is a 7-minute walk from Tengachaya Station and Yamayakyo a 9-minute walk. Laforet Namba South is a 1-minute walk from Hanazonocho Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, and La Forêt Hanazonocho is a 6-minute walk from the same station. All four are in Nishinari Ward, Osaka, and all four are rented by the whole house or by the floor, so you never share with strangers.
Guests at La Forêt Hanazonocho and Laforet Namba South change to the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line. Hanazonocho Station is on the Yotsubashi Line, while the subway at Tengachaya is the Sakaisuji Line, so they are not the same line and riding Nankai through to Namba is the simpler move. On the Yotsubashi Line, only Daikokucho (Y16) sits between Hanazonocho (Y17) and Namba (Y15). The Osaka Metro official fare table puts zone 1 (up to 3 km) at ¥190 for adults and ¥100 for children. Guests at La Forêt Hanazonocho can also get off at Tengachaya and walk, but our site lists that walk as about 15 minutes, so it is not recommended with a suitcase.
| Route | Get off at | Official journey time | Ticket | Houses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nankai Rapi:t limited express | Nankai Tengachaya | About 34 min | Base fare plus limited express ticket: regular seat ¥700 adult, ¥350 child | Mientsuki no Mori, Yamayakyo |
| Nankai airport express | Nankai Tengachaya | About 39 min | Base fare only | Mientsuki no Mori, Yamayakyo |
| Nankai Rapi:t limited express | Nankai Namba | About 38 min | Base fare plus limited express ticket: regular seat ¥700 adult, ¥350 child | La Forêt Hanazonocho, Laforet Namba South (change to the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line) |
| Nankai airport express | Nankai Namba | About 44 min | Base fare only | La Forêt Hanazonocho, Laforet Namba South (change to the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line) |
| JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service | JR Hineno (change to the Hanwa Line) | About 10 min | Check the JR West site | La Forêt Yamanakadani (carry on to Izumi-Tottori) |
| JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service | JR Tennoji | About 45 min | Check the JR West site | For transfers within the city |
The Nankai times come from the Kansai Airport Station access guide on the Nankai Electric Railway site, which states they are a guide only. The JR times come from the train page on the Kansai Airports site. The subway fare comes from the Osaka Metro official fare table. We do not reprint Nankai base fares or JR station fares here. Use the fare search on the Nankai Electric Railway and JR West sites.
The way back uses the same line. Nankai Electric Railway runs from Tengachaya to Kansai International Airport with no change of train, so after check-out you walk your luggage to the station and board. Guests at Laforet Namba South and La Forêt Hanazonocho either take the Yotsubashi Line to Namba and change to Nankai, or walk to Tengachaya and board there.
If you are picking up a rental car at the airport, check parking first. Mientsuki no Mori comes with a dedicated free parking space, Yamayakyo has a dedicated free parking space, and La Forêt Yamanakadani has free parking too. La Forêt Hanazonocho has no parking of its own, so use one of the paid car parks around Hanazonocho Station. Laforet Namba South has no on-site parking; a paid parking lot is right next door.
If you land late and need to buy something, here is what is close by. Laforet Namba South is 1 minute from the station to the front door, with a drugstore 30 seconds away, a supermarket and a 100-yen shop 1 minute away, and the local shopping street 3 minutes away. From La Forêt Hanazonocho a Family Mart is 1 minute away, a 7-Eleven 2 minutes, and the LIFE supermarket, open until 24:00, 3 minutes. Near Mientsuki no Mori a 7-Eleven is 3 minutes away and a Lawson 4 minutes.
The Rapi:t digital ticket sold on the Nankai site covers the one-way base fare and the limited express ticket. It is valid between Kansai Airport Station and Namba, Shin-Imamiya, Tengachaya, Sumiyoshitaisha and Sakai. A regular seat is ¥1,410 for adults and ¥710 for children; a business seat is ¥1,590 for adults and ¥910 for children. Buying the limited express ticket on board costs ¥300 more, so if you want Rapi:t, buy it on the official site or at a ticket window before you board.
If you would rather not pay for a limited express ticket, take the airport express. The official times differ by 5 minutes to Tengachaya (about 34 against about 39) and by 6 minutes to Namba (about 38 against about 44), and what you save is the ¥700 adult limited express ticket. The child limited express ticket is ¥350. The airport express needs no limited express ticket, so you tap an IC card straight through the gate and skip the ticket queue.
La Forêt Yamanakadani is in Yamanakadani, Hannan City, Osaka Prefecture, off the Nankai network, so you take JR. The JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service runs from Kansai International Airport to Hineno in about 10 minutes. Change there to the Hanwa Line toward Wakayama, ride to Izumi-Tottori Station, and walk 7 minutes from the exit to the house. Yamanakadani Station is the next stop after Izumi-Tottori, and the line runs through to Tennoji without a change.
Watch the gap between trains. The stretch from Hineno to Izumi-Tottori does not run as often as the airport line. Check the JR West timetable before you pick which Kansai Airport Rapid Service to board, or you will be waiting on the platform at Hineno.
Driving is simpler. Our site lists the drive as about 23 minutes to Kansai Airport and about 49 minutes to Tennoji, and the house has free parking. In your own car it is 2 minutes to the expressway toward Wakayama and 5 minutes to the expressway toward Osaka. Guests without a car are free to use the bicycles the house provides, and a 5 to 10 minute ride reaches a hot-spring bathhouse, a supermarket, a drugstore and local restaurants. Grandma Kanbara's general store is 10 seconds from the door, and a 9-minute walk gets you to a 7-Eleven and a cake shop. By car it is about 17 minutes to the Rinku Town outlet mall, about 18 minutes to Wakayama, and about 2 minutes to the cherry blossom spot around Yamanakadani Station, the dinosaur slide at Wanpaku Kingdom and the Kumano Kodo. In cherry blossom season you can walk from the house to the sakura row along the Yamanaka River and back.
Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is by 11:00 at all five houses. A late flight still works for same-day check-in. We send the door lock code in advance, so nobody has to meet you with a key. Check the last train times on the timetable for that day on the Nankai Electric Railway or JR West site, and tell us on official LINE if your flight is delayed. Ask our staff first if you want an early check-in or a late check-out.
All five houses are self check-in with no front desk on site. At 10:00 on the day of arrival we send the house location, the guest registration form and the front-door keypad code by LINE or email, then the room key-box code at 16:00. Put the keys back in the key box when you check out. Houses rented whole have no separate room code. At Laforet Namba South there is one key-box code for the first floor and another for the second and third floors, and whole-house guests receive both.
Guests at La Forêt Yamanakadani should work out the last train with extra care. Izumi-Tottori is on the JR Hanwa Line and you change once at Hineno. Trains run less often than on the airport line, so on a late-night arrival check that day's timetable first.
If you arrive before check-in time, our site FAQ spells it out: from 11:00 on the day of check-in you can leave luggage in the entrance hall. Keep valuables with you. We cannot take responsibility for items left with us. If you land in the morning and want to head into the city first, drop the big bags off and go.
A partner operator runs airport transfers by charter. The price is not published on our site. Message the official LINE for the house you have booked and tell us which house it is, how many guests there are and when your flight lands, and our staff will send you a quote. Our customer service is staffed in Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean. Each house has its own LINE account, so message the one for the house you are staying at or it will not reach the right staff. All five houses are registered under Japanese law, and the certification and notification numbers with the issuing authorities are listed on operator and registration details.
These three houses have the shortest route in from the airport. Mientsuki no Mori is within walking distance of Tengachaya Station, where both Nankai airport trains stop. Laforet Namba South is a 1-minute walk from Hanazonocho Station on the Yotsubashi Line, one stop from Nankai Namba. La Forêt Yamanakadani uses JR, and our site lists the drive to Kansai Airport as about 23 minutes. Guest numbers and prices for Yamayakyo and La Forêt Hanazonocho are in the five-house comparison table.
7 minutes' walk from Tengachaya Station, where both Nankai airport trains stop, so there is no transfer after you get off. 2 to 12 guests. Book the Forest Swan 4-guest suite on its own, the Arashi Moon 8-guest suite on its own, or the whole house. Dedicated free parking space and a bathtub.
1 minute's walk from Hanazonocho Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, the closest of the five houses to a station, and one stop from Nankai Namba. 4 to 12 guests, with the first-floor four-guest room and the 6 to 8 guest second-and-third-floor unit bookable separately. The whole house is 125 m² for 10 to 12 guests. No on-site parking; a paid parking lot is right next door.
7 minutes' walk from JR Izumi-Tottori Station, and our site lists the drive to Kansai Airport as about 23 minutes. A traditional kominka with its own garden, up to 12 guests, free parking, and the Yamanaka River cherry trees within walking distance. ¥6,000 per person per night on weekdays and ¥8,000 at weekends, capped at ¥32,000 a night, with no extra-bed fee. Check the booking page for the live quote.

According to the Kansai Airport Station access guide on the Nankai Electric Railway site, the Rapi:t limited express takes about 34 minutes and the airport express about 39 minutes, both without a transfer. The site notes that journey times are a guide only. This stretch runs on the Nankai airport line, so you stay on one train and never haul luggage up and down inside Namba Station. Mientsuki no Mori is a 7-minute walk from Tengachaya Station and Yamayakyo a 9-minute walk. The official times to Namba are about 38 minutes by Rapi:t limited express and about 44 minutes by airport express.
Check-in is from 16:00, and an evening arrival is fine. We send the door lock code in advance. All five houses are self check-in with no front desk, so there is nobody to wait for. At 10:00 on the day of arrival we send the house location, the guest registration form and the front-door keypad code by LINE or email, then the room key-box code at 16:00. If your flight lands late, tell us on official LINE first. For last train times, use the timetables for that day on the Nankai Electric Railway and JR West sites. For La Forêt Yamanakadani you change to the Hanwa Line at Hineno, where trains run less often than on the airport line, so check that day's last train with extra care. Ask our staff first if you want an early check-in or a late check-out.
We offer airport transfers by charter. The price is not published on our site. Ask through the official LINE for your house, and say which house you are staying at, how many guests there are and when your flight lands. Our customer service is staffed in Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean. If you would rather take the train first, the four Nishinari houses use Nankai Electric Railway to Tengachaya or Namba, and La Forêt Yamanakadani uses the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service to Hineno and then the Hanwa Line. From 11:00 on the day of check-in you can also leave luggage in the entrance hall first. Keep valuables with you. We cannot take responsibility for items left with us.
